Many years ago I saw and had the chance to have a good look at a 745 at a Main Dealers that had precisely the same back end 'droop' damage as your 945. The back end had been 'open up' by Volvo themselves, and the amount of individual inner panel crumple damage (major and very minor) on all the internals across the back end was 'amazing' .... why ... because that's the way they were designed to 'fold' in a medium to heavy rear end shunt and still protect anyone in the back, especially the rear facing 'child' seats.
