You did it right first.

Rubber to window and both together into the car.

Bend the chrome parts good enough. They should look as to be in place.
No special tool needed. A rope, thinner than your green one.
Rope into the groove of the rubber.
Place the chrome symmetrical. Fix it with tape.
Pull the rope and press slightly the chrome in at same time.
The same s h i t at Amazons and 140/164.
No fun, no fun since I do work on old Volvos.
I'm able to do the job by my own, withough a helper.
Way more easy with a helper, nevertheless. If the helper is very calmly, a nervous one isn't a helper.
The way you try, all together in, will bent the chrome even more than its bent now.
