Took the car in for a free safety inspection (new owners get one) and they told me it had a service package on it and next one is paid for....which was nice. Hopefully I’ll be able to some print outs of its history but, despite it not having anything to do with GDPR I’m sure they’ll say no, due data protection.

I got that load of old cobblers from a Volvo dealer when I bought mine privately. They would give me the service history but flatly refused to give me any paperwork for the elective work that had been done on the car, despite the previous owner telling me he had stuff done and giving me partial paperwork. I just wanted some nice printed stuff from Volvo as I always keep a chronological folder of paperwork which I can then hand on when selling to the new owner. I always believe it shows diligence of ownership and gives the car a full provenance. Volvo was having none of it! GDPR yeah right!
