I am worried if I put the additional 1 liter in then it maybe too much oil. Can anyone advise. Also the dash board tells me there is no information on how much oil is in the car. A bit annoying to be honest.

I don't really want to have to take it to Volvo to resolve as it will cost me another £150 + VAT which I don't really have at the moment to spend.
Why would it cost you for another garage to sort out a problem they have caused. You have already paid them for the job, they should have carried it out correctly. Some of the later cars need the oil level sensor calibrating, so if this is the case they should have done it.
Surely it is up to them to sort at their cost.
