It's a shame. The system in the old XC90 is not perfect, but the integration of the screens into the headrests is really good.
I installed a small media player into the centre console so we don't use DVDs anymore, I just load up a USB stick.
The Volvo solution for the new XC90 is shown here, and it's a bit hacky looking:
