Jack;
Welcome to this forum!
Congrats on your acquisition!
If you need a statement of value for the purpose of insuring it, I'd visit a garage intimately familiar with the Amazon (maybe your lucky and that outfit who does the vintage Volvo videos on YT is near you...), and have them evaluate your vehicle, write a statement of value, and use that in negotiations with your insurer.
The Amazons are great, if not already familiar with the weaknesses of this model, which develop after this long, I recommend taking advantage of those who have gone before you who have learned about and addressed them..installing a Momentary Start Switch to prevent Ign Key breakage, see:
https://www.sw-em.com/Broken%20Vinta...tion%20Key.htm ), also depending on year of the car, and type of Brake Light Switch installed, checking Brake Light function often, see:
https://www.sw-em.com/safety_bulletin_1.htm I invite you to check out other SW-EM.com tech articles which cover some of the subtle issues which come up after 50+ years (those darned Volvos just don't last!).
Enjoy your Swedish oldie, and Cheers!
