The point I was making was my previous V70 (P2 generation) did not have this problem and I had that for 9 years and it was 16 years old when I sold it. Never do I remember the doors being frozen shut.

The comment about Sweden was really how did it go from not being a problem on the P2 to being a problem on the P3 cars? It's not as if Sweden does not have cold weather to test this.

One final point which is, the underlying cause is water is getting past the first outer seal on the P3 car, you can see this when you open the door, this then freezes the door shut. On the P2 car water never got past the first outer seal even at 16 years old and 150K.
