OK...so the XC90 was taken to a specialist who we have used for servicing and have proven themselves excellent, they also said "fuel filter", then proceded to check the fault codes.....fuel filter was changed and all was fine....drove the car the 25 miles home, no hiccups.......then we had to drive to the airport to catch a holiday flight......an hour of motorway driving using cruise control mostly at around 70 to 80 mph....no trouble, until it was time to turn off onto the airport road.....as soon as I backed off the throttle the engine speed just decreased to stall, it didn't help that there was a police car on my tail!!!.....had to put on the hazards, into park, keys out, keys back in, start up, hazards off and then get going again....nightmare.....then at the last roundabout before the airport it struck again!!!!.....we called the specialist from the airport and told them what had happened.....so now that we are back we have to take it back in again.....what on earth is causing this??????.....maybe the next step is the fuel pump?????....it is just so sporadic that's the thing.......not every drive.....not necessarily when the car is hot, or cold......on either a short or a long drive.......help!!!!!....has anyone had these symptoms????
