Sorry for not replying sooner as away on holiday to the IOW. Also 40th birthday while there.
Plan to just replace the sunroof motor and clean the sunroof switch if still not working. I remember dismantling one years ago on a 740 and the spring and ball rocker thing popping out.
May be a few weeks before I get round to it as other jobs need doing.
