1.5% in error is not too bad, it is only there as a guide as is your fuel guage and fuel light. Certainly liveable with - for me anyway!
I would also agree that +7 to -7% would also be accurate and acceptable. Over all the different types of vehicles I driven over the years I've not found any manufacturers trip computers to be vastly more accurate from one to the other.
