Hi Folks,

Has any on here ever dismantled a AW50-42LE automatic gearbox as fitted to these cars?

I'm wondering if can swap the bellhousing/ front half of the gearbox casing from diesel version on to a known good petrol gearbox?

The main problem being the bellhousing also forms the front half of the gearbox case, so I'm wondering what sort of job it is pull these gearboxes in two and what surprises await for re-assembly?
