Yes AndyV70, that was my point exactly.
The charger should have flagged an error, but didn't.
I don't know the tolerance of the led lights showing the amount of charge in the battery.
It was flashing green while connected, then disconnected and the flashing led went red.
They must be sensitive, when the new battery was checked in store it read 12.74v, connected to car and the flashing led flashed amber suggesting that it needed a charge.
After the drive home the led was green, so I connected to the charger overnight for a full cycle charge.
This morning the car turned over very quickly compared to what I normally experience, so I would assume that the battery needed changing anyway.
