This is strong money for one of these, but as Henry Royce once said, 'The quality remains long after the price is forgotten.'. The OP has assessed it's worth and who are we to question it?
At the other end of the spectrum, I recently bought a near identical car, albeit in nowhere near as fine condition as this one, for £550. That is sound, passed it's MOT the other day and is ideal for the tip run, etc. If I wanted this particular car, the price would be no barrier. You pay your money and take your choice.
