The 6 speed in the D5 has to be the most outdated gearbox used by a European or Japanese car manufacturer. I could not believe how bad it was.
The 8 speed seems like a modern, generic "slush box" you find in most autos these days.
The only "auto" I can live with is a dual clutch transmission. These 8 and 9 speed boxes change gear too much and seem "confused".
