Many thanks to ASAHARTZ. Excellent write-up. Took a while, and after a confidence crisis, mananged to feed (force) it through the narrow gap at the fixing lug for the undertray/splash guard. £162 including VAT from my nearest Volvo dealership in Aberdeen. I have an XC90 2011 200pa D5. Also replaced the power steering pump at the same time.
