In my view, its not all that bad to be honest.
The part itself could have been designed better in the first place, but its a part that gets used and perishes over time. A few ££s down to replace with the contactless sensor is ok in my eyes. I'm having to deal with ETM issues right now. New ownership of the V70R and probably why it was sold on in the first place.
I've just ordered a contactless sensor and will be fitting that in the coming few days, after which I hope to have a very nice working car.
