We have two XC70, but they both have the large colour display on top of the dashboard, and then it's shown there, of course. Together with the reverse camera display.

I just have the small display in the radio with no distance indicator. I did a bit more checking today and the beep for the front sensors comes from the right hand door speaker. When I played with the sound settings from left to right I discovered that there's no sound at all from the door speaker so that would explain my problem. I need to remove the door card next to see if there's power to the speaker, at the moment it's only the tweeter which explains the faint sound of the park assist. At least it's being narrowed down!
