Garage just rang me and advised me that oil leaks from valve cover and possibly from crankcase seal (needs timing cover removal to confirm). Then told me how much work was involved to sort out valve cover seal. I then asked is the positive pressure out of the filler cap correct .... shouldn't it be negative.....a bit of a silence ......okay we need to check that. I said I do not want to spend hundreds of pounds if they don't know the root cause.

My question to the forum is if the problem is the crankcase ventilation and is fixed do the seals need replacing or should they be okay if they have not been pushed out?
