I picked up a 2000 V70 T5 at the weekend (my first Volvo) and since then a few electrical gremlins have appeared - it all worked fine when I picked it up.

The rear doors and boot, do not unlock and I can't even open them from the inside. It's also affecting the fuel filler cap, so it won't be long until I have to stop using it (but who knows when as the fuel gauge has stopped reading too!!).

Because all of it has gone at the same time, It strikes me as being an electrical issue so I want your advice whether they're connected at all? Also the indicator squib has an intermittent fault but I have a new squib coming soon.

Is there a chance that some dodgy/degraded wiring behind the dash could affect the central locking? Is there a relay on that model which covers all the rear locks but not the front? - drivers door and front passenger door are fine.

Thanks for your help.
EDIT: comments below apply to 2001+

I would start by checking all the relays in the rear control module. I know at least one of the rear doors shares a relay with the fuel door.

Here’s a screen shot of the layout of the RCM:
