Had a closer look at the tyres last night, they are not as new as I first assume, rears are about 2mm off the wear indicator, fronts are a bit better more like 4mm. Will check the pressures again I reduced them down from 40 odds the day I picked the car up down to 31 front 30 rear as per the fuel flap.
My father has put pilot sports on his Leon with decent results, I would probably look very closely at them come new tyre day.
