If you went into a Volvo dealer now and ordered a pump it would be a cheap Qeuntin Hazel replacement with a different part number to the original pump.
my SKF pump is still going strong after 4 yrs.....
It was the other way around - Volvo were originally a subsidiary of the Swedish Bearing Company aka SKF when it's translated into Swedish.

That aside, SKF pumps are the only way to go for the redblock, most of the apparently genuine Volvo pumps are cheap Chinese carp these days.
