I always thought they were a German co. Wumpster, The main reason being going to Schweinfurt in Germany,late 50s early 60s on a course at Sachs,Turned out to be next to the SKF bearing factory. The instructors told us Brits. that most of the surrounding area was flattened and most of the factories were rebuilt, Sachs now had underground parking and lifts up into the plant. We were all a bit worried as it wasn't long after the war, our fears where allayed when somebody queried something the instructor said, He replied,with a smile,"Only Hitler is allowed to disagree with me" When we were ready to leave,we were all presented with a beautiful polished wood, baize lined case containing a set of factory tools.
Broke my heart,when mine were stolen on the Harwich to London boat train.
