LPG tanks should be made in batches with a not to exceed quantity for any single batch of 200, from this batch four tanks will be distroyed through stringent testing to ensure the batch is good, if any tank fails a single test other tanks may be tested but two additional ones from the same batch MUST pass the test the original specimin failed. If either of the additional tanks fail the entire batch is rejected/ scrapped.

EACH tank MUST be pressure tested using hydraulics and the test pressure along with the test date, the fact that it is for LPG storage and a few other items should be attached to an embossed label/ plate attached to the tank, including the CE mark to which the testing has been carried out to.

If the tanks carry no CE mark then they are ILLEGAL to be sold within the EU which includes the UK, at the very least I would like to see a photograph of the identification/ type approval plate attached to the tank, if the tank doesn't have one then it shouldn't be fitted to a vehicle within the EU for storage of LPG - Mike
