What is it and must i have it?

Having made my new inlet setup. Ie a elbow with maf and filter i deleted this what i thinjk i a heater thing. I wanted to vent the hose attached to a oil catch can but now im getting an issue where the car will die after slowing down for traffic lights ect, Idle and starts just fine. Cheers
