Default One other thing to check

Whilst we were troubleshooting this problem, one item came to light which you should check for. Apparently, the downpipe from the aircon unit, which drains the condensed water vapour removed from the damp incoming air, can become misplaced. Rather than drain to under the car, it drains inside the car.

You can check for this by starting the car, opening the car windows, running the car aircon on full, minimum temperature, then after a few minutes look underneath at the duct in roughly the centre across the car, and just behind the engine bay (i.e. underneath the aircon unit). If you see a good flow of water, then it's draining. If you don't see any water draining down, you definitely have a problem. I haven't worked out how to tell if you're only getting partial drainage underneath but you have some drainage to the inside of the car.

The nature of the source I got this from suggests it might be another "known" (at least in come circles) problem
