Default New clutch supply problems

The car is a 2015 V60 D4 with 120000 miles on it.
I suspect my clutch is on the way out and as this year's holiday is a 3000 mile drive round Europe, I booked it into a local garage to change it.

He says he cannot get the parts from any of his suppliers and there is a change to the design that means a new vent pipe is needed and that's Volvo supply only.

Anyone else aware of UK supply issues and/or the need for a different vent pipe?

Is it a 5 cylinder or 4 cylinder D4?

Can't find a kit with the DMF though.

Have you tried the dealer? Volvo supplied clutches are usually reasonably priced.

It's a 4 cylinder

I've found possible kits on Autodoc but wondered about local UK supply.

I haven't tried the main stealer but may have to...

I've ordered from the main stealer, £474 but it includes all the bits, most importantly the release bearing and vent pipe that seem to be unavailable from anywhere else.

Next to source is cambelt and waterpump...

I’d be going back to the dealer for those as well, if you join the owners club you’d get discount on your parts also. With the value you have ordered you might even get enough discount to pay for your membership the year if not more. Just a thought.

you are obviously on a budget so Don't waste your money on a water pump you wont need one. if you must then don't fit a non volvo water pump it will fail just when you don't want it to, costing you even more money.. only use volvo cambelts and rollers/tensioners for the same reason.

Volvo clutch and flywheel package is cheaper than most motor factors. Frf Swansea will piece together a kit - delivered, then just ask the garage to fit it.
Last clutch I had on my XC was either £1200 for clutch and flywheel from a motorfactor, or ~£550 for a genuine volvo clutch, flywheel, bolts, breather and slave plus a few other updated bits. Honestly cannot complain at that price!
FRF Volvo Swansea, if you're a VOC member, you get a little discount.
