Yes, nice bikes.

But I wouldn't have swapped my 400 Four for one. (Now, that's one of those things I wouldn't mind having back.)

Me too! Had a CB350 for a while and a couple of 400/4 and a 550/4 but i always hankered after those 450 twins. Lots of US imports.. my XS650 was a US import and had loads of wiring issues plus had to have new carbs and exhausts.. but was great fun for the nearly 20 years i had it

Yes, the 400/4 was a very good motorcycle, but there is something special about the 450 - it being Japan's first go at the big bike market. the 1960s version (the Black Bomber) would perhaps be the best model in this respect, but the 1970s ones were considerably improved and generally sell for half as much. In about 5 years the 1970s bikes will occupy the Black Bomber's current position in the market and will appreciate by about 100%, so acquiring one now might be a good idea - and a lot of fun.

Seen worse! It’s been on a while. Just trawling and checked the engine size, 2.3 , to my surprise.

Hmmm, there are three things against it :

1) It's in Penzance

2) It's in Penzance

3) It's a cat-equipped car.

To clarify :

1) Penzance is a long way from Stowmarket - almost but not quite extreme opposites of east and west in the UK.

2) It's obviously a coastal car and apparently had a blowover a couple of years back. There is the tinge of cinnamon around the lower edges of the tailgate aperture suggesting much worse rot behind the bumper.

3) On an H, it will be a 1990/91 car so the cat can be deleted legally to gain some extra power/mpg, not quite as much as a B230E though.

Other than that and keep-fit windows in the back, looks quite nice.

Cheers Chaps,

Yes I had seen that one, and as Dave has already identified, 'its in Penzance'

Been following this one and bids are very tentative, slowly increasing from the starting £6k on 31.5 got to £8k same day but not a lot more since.

If only that was an Auto, but hey ho. Reserve not met, 7 hours remain, guesstimates on what the reserve is?? Finger in the wind, £10k.......

Cheers
Steve
