XC90 gearbox issues 🤷🏼*♂️
Hi, all,
So, the issues continue here! 2010 XC90 2.4d Im getting a judder at low revs in 6th gear, but more concerning is a loss of power when dropping down and an inability to get beyond about 58mph, even with my foot on the floor. It then refuses to change up a gear. When accelerating VERY slowly, itll go past this point, but not when dropping and planting the foot. Any ideas? |

History of the gearbox would be good to know.
How many miles? Has it been serviced? Any previous issues? Any fault codes? Without more info I would say it sounds like its failing so first port of call if there are no codes is to change the fluid. Many sump dumps would be my suggested method with a few miles between each dump. It might help it might not after that it would be either take a lucky guess and start changing parts like the valve body etc or just go for a full rebuild. |

Are you sure it's the gearbox? If you have a engine power issue, and it wont rev or build speed, the gearbox wont shift up if your foot is planted as it is in kick down mode....
Try knocking the gear lever over to the left and see if you can go through all of the gears manually.

Like Tannaton I think is more likely you are down on power. If no obvious other faults could it be as simple as fuel starvation - when was the fuel filter last changed? |
