Default SRS airbag Service urgent

Hi,

I'm driving my 2015 S60 when I suddenly got these warning messages: SRS Airbag Service Urgent, ESC Service Required, and City Safety Service Required.

I used my OBD tool and retrieved the following error codes:

ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System):
U015100: Lost Communication With Restraint Control Module (General Failure Information)
U002855: Vehicle Communication Bus A. System Programming Failures (Not Configured)
CEM (Central Electrical Module): (Multiple errors detected)
B10A202: Crash Input (General Failure Information - General Signal Failure)
(List continues for all 8 CEM errors)
DIM (Driver Information Module):
U015100: Lost Communication With Supplemental Restraint System Module (General Failure Information)
PDM (Passenger Door Module) & DDM (Driver Door Module):
U020287 (PDM) & U020187 (DDM): Lost Communication with Door Control Modules (Bus Signal/Message Failures - Missing Message)
CVM (Closing Velocity Module):
U03004A: Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility (System Internal Failures - Incorrect Component Installed)
U041568: Invalid Data Received From Brake Control Module (Algorithm Based Failures - Event Information)
PSCM (Power Steering Control Module):
U041592: Invalid Data Received From Brake Control Module (BCM) (Component Failures - Performance or Incorrect Operation)

I checked the car thoroughly, and there are no visible signs of any collision. I found a similar post https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showt...302725&page=2/ on this forum suggesting replacing the SRS module. Before taking it to a Volvo garage, I wanted to see if anyone had other suggestions.

Additionally: Clearing the codes doesn't fix the issue, and all the fuses seem to be okay.

Please view a recent thread I posted and compare the codes, I've listed my error codes in an image and the many symbols displayed. Hope you can sort it, but my fault is not going to be cheap. The car drives fine and I've been assured it shouldn't go into a limp/safety mode, but with the red airbag symbol lit, it will fail an MOT and also should I be involved in an incident, the airbag wont deploy and ABS may not work, hence any insurance claim made following an incident would be reduced if I drove it whilst the lights are present.

a good diagnostic tool will be able to read the individual modules to find what has created the indicated fault. clear all codes drive and see what returns as said before good voltage is a must have for any volvo to avoid any misreading caused by failing voltage it is recommended to have an external power supply when using vida .

I charged the using a battery charger and it is at 12.7v and 13.9v when car is on. I have noticed that when I drive the car for longer then 15 minutes or so, the TPMS and city safety unavailable message shows up and after turning the car off and back on, then the message disappears. Could that suggest that it is not a problem with the srs module?

Here is the report from my OBD tool incase this may help resolve the issue:

have you tried deleting all the existing codes as some codes will not reset by starting a new cycle. delete all codes and drive to see if any codes reappear as some of the indicated codes may be historic if your crash module has recorded an event it will need resetting by a volvo dealer or a specialist crash data removal company. codes dont alway indicate where the problem is.so specialist diagnostics is required to read the individual modules to narrow down your fault codes.

after deleting the codes with the tool, it reduced the number of codes from 16 to 11 (https://reportview.thinkcar.com/repo...diag&lan=en-us).

I have booked an appointment with a garage that deals with these issues for Monday but I just wanted to see if we can figure it out in the meantime

I'm currently looking at one of these with the same problem. Volvo diagnostic list a repair for SRS module with these symptoms for XC60 V70 and xc70. I've used them before for this issue on an XC60 and they repaired the unit no problem.I might drop them a message to see if the v60 is affected by the same issue.

it not technically a repair what they do is remove a hard code from the eprom chip inside the unit its a very common thing .when i was there he had a stack of volvo units on the bench this kind of thing is also common on vehicles which have had impacts. body shops use this service all the time as genuine replacements are very expensive .

It's not a crash reset as this effects vehicles that have not been in an accident, it's not resetting a hard code either. This is a repair service for SRS module that will not communicate.
I'm not sure what exactly they do with the unit but it's advertised as a repair service with lifetime warranty. Other crash reset companies don't list this service for the non communication problem with the Volvo module.
It's my understanding that Volvo diagnostic has identified a failing component which they replace with a better one, however I'm not certain of this.
I have had this issue with XC60 and their service was excellent.
