Default No front or rear wash

Well the T4 project continues(V40). Now ive discovered no water from front or rear washers. Ive removed the lower pump and cleaned out the swamp that was in the washer bottle. I tested the rear pump off the car and it shot a jet down the driveway, so i,d say thats ok. Ive fitted the new fan jets to front, now with fresh water i get a dribble from nearside, a good spray from offside, and nothing out the rear. I,m assuming all the pipes are blocked with slime etc.
Has the rear any joins where i can split and flush etc? I have blown back down the front and it seems clear but the water outage is poor so looks like the bonnet pipes are gunged. Any suggestions and pointers ?

Can anyone tell me, are there two pumps or is it just the one. I get a very poor flow out the front pipe if its diconnected from the bonnet, and i still am getting nothing out the rear, is there a non return valve for the rear ??

There are two pumps. You need to pull back the OSF arch liner to access the rear pump. You may find that it's seized solid due to it's location and the ingress of water/salt.

Cheers Baffler the pictures clarify things. I removed the rear washer pump from the bottle, and tested it, thats the one that fired a jet down the drive. The front runs but dribbles water out of the n/s jet and weak flow from the o/s. Looks like i,ll have to remove the whole bottle assy ?

As you say, the rubber tubing and the non-return valves are probably clogged with algae. Only real way to clean them is to blow them out with compressed air. Remove the non-return valves before doing so, otherwise you'll destroy the little diaphragm inside. You can bathe the valves in a solution of warm water and a little detergent while you're clearing the tubing.

Thanks, big clean up job ahead. I have now refilled the water bottle and dosed it with a little bleach, i will leave it soaking for a few days then i,ll clean out and sort the pipes.
