Mintex 302 mm front disks
Hi all
Just a comment that Mintex 302mm front disks (not drilled or grooved) Mintex MDC1353 are selling for under £50 per pair including delivery on ebay. Just put a pair on my 1999 V70 T5 and did away with the warped disk problem that I had (different brand). HTH Steve

As an aside, I'd be very wary of cheap eBay and indeed cheap discs in general... I made the mistake of fitting some generic eBay discs on my T5 (banger rally use so cheap was the order of the day!) and it warped them within a few hundred miles and they just seems really... crap. Fitted Delphi discs after that and it warped them too so they were replaced under their 2 year warranty and touch wood, the replacements have been fine and are showing no signs of excessive scoring or vibration.
It's sometimes worth paying the extra, more so if the car gets 'used' |

Discs rarely warp, more often its 'runout' caused from a variety of issues. Most common is poor or inadequate factory heat treatment, and bad fitting technique.
ATE are what these cars had on them from factory and are not readily available on the shelf in the UK though most places CAN order them, cost about £120 per front pair retail, get em for less than half that posted from Germany though (2-4 day service), volvo themselves charge more for exact same part, just comes in a volvo box, also looses the anti corrosion coating on the top had and internal surfaces vs. direct from ATE (so you are paying more for a lesser product). The coating does make a serious difference to them, 7 months on mine still look as new vs. a non coated set went orange in about 4 days lol Mintex, brembo etc are all solid brands though |

Just bought a pair of 280mm ATE discs for my C70 from Mister-Auto-uk on Ebay for £56.65 the pair.
Not fitted them yet but the box and discs don't give me any cause to fear they may be copies of the real thing. (Watch this space?) http://http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291930990295?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageNa me=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
