My understanding is that the hitch is the bit that is attached to the trailer/caravan drawbar - the cup/female if you like.

The part that attaches to your V70 towbar is the towball and ( if using an Al-Ko hitch on the trailer ) you need to be aware that the Al-ko type approved towball has a slightly narrowed neck and is displaced further from the towbar mounting plane to give sufficient space for free movement.

This is to allow the extra space needed for the slightly larger hitch housing on the trailer and to allow enough free articulation in the event of towing up or down slopes steep enough to cause the larger hitch to foul the towball neck and thus the risk of de-coupling of the trailer.

If it is the towball you want have a look at Towsurevthey do a pattern one.

If it's the towing ball you mean then Go outdoors sell the original Alko one. Think I paid £16.
