Default Wheel Stud Plastic Covers?

I have just recently noticed that I have lost 6 plastic covers, 5 off one wheel and one off another. All missing from LH side.

Anytime I use a jet wash, I always check when finished.
Has anyone else lost these covers and also wonder if they would be replaced under warranty?

Lost four about a year ago after getting car washed at garage. Tried to replace them but part number was not available anywhere at that time. The ones for locking wheel nuts are different and these were not listed. Got some cheap chrome ones on ebay but these have now turned black.

They have now modified the covers and they now clip onto the wheel studs,

Means replacing the wheel studs as they are different so yeah its a warranty issue

Not sure if I have the latest covers?
There is a plastic tweezer for pulling them off, along with the wheel brace, etc.

Tem - are they a dull grey finish?
When I changed to MY2017 XC60 last September, the wheel stud covers were dull grey compared to the plastic chrome finish on the MY2015 model I changed from (and didn't lose any in nearly 2 years of ownership).

I lost 6 of these covers over 3 days in November, and I purchased a full set of the chrome plastic finish covers and had them fitted when the Dealer put my winter wheels on last November.

I have since had the summer wheels put back on and have not lost any of these covers.

When I mentioned to the Dealer about the loss of the dull plastic covers, they pulled a bag full of them out of a draw - obviously a cost cutting exercise by Volvo that is causing owners grief to get them replaced.

Yes, they are a dull gray colour and have a hex nut outer edge finish to them.
They match the allow wheels.

Noticed 5 of ours were missing the other week.

Haven't done anything about it yet. Was simply going to buy some as doubt they're expensive.

Let us know how you get on

They are not expensive from volvo but you should get then covered by warranty when they fall off. new type now which clips on positively . You can get the standard bolt covers AND the locking bolt covers which are a bit different ,

I think that I may have solved the problem with the missing plastic covers.

About a week ago we had very heavy rain and while driving along a B road, I had to move over to the far left to avoid oncoming traffic.
Several times I drove into large amounts of water, which eventually had me slowing down to around 20 mph. I think that the plastic covers may have been washed off, by the volume of water hitting the LH side of the car.

Had a look in the Tempa spare wheel holder and found 4 plastic covers that were removed when the security studs were fitted.
These are now fitted, but I need a further two, for the security studs.

Will keep a check on them and mention to Dealer, when the car goes in for its service, first week in October.
