By my reading of the press release https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/press/r..._engines.shtml the 2.0 litre is not available on the V40, it's on the V60.

All car manufacturers update / tweak their range of cars on an annual basis hence the term 'my' - manufacturing year. It is a well known procedure world round. Always worth checking when a manufacturer is about to update a model.

I myself have not long purchased a new my15 V40 and am delighted. I did some homework and knew that the my16 changes wouldn't have much affect if any on the car I was planning to buy.

Don't know what sort of conversations you have had with your dealer or how much research you did but sounds like your dealer hasn't been as helpful as they could have been.

I assume you have got every option under the sun on your car £30k for a V40 seems a bit steep.

The V40 as you put it - has not been scrapped + if it is a petrol model you wanted you still can't have a 2.0 auto (different if you were to go for diesel)
