Ireland: - Next Irish OWners meeting 12-OCT-2008

hi all,

the next Irish owners meeting will be held on Sunday the 12-OCT-2008 in the Garden of Ireland ( Wicklow ). An interesting route has been drawn up which I hope will appeal to all, details of which will be posted later.

In the meantime if can let me know if your are able to attend and the number in your Party I can make arrangements for Lunch.

hi all.

The route has been finalized for Sunday the 12ths meeting, meeting time is 11:00am with a go time of 11:30 . < link >. The starting point is the Texaco Garage just off Junction 11 on the M50. This will mean you take the exit and just go to the next small roundabout and loop back on yourself. There are toilets and hot food, coffee available here if required. Then we head off in the direction of Brittas and across the Wicklow mountains heading for Powerscourt waterfall ( there is a 5e entry fee per adult , but its well worth it ) great for Photo's and there are toilets and hot food, coffee available here if required.

Once completed here we'll head off to Laragh for lunch after which we'll take in the lovely Valley of Glenmalure before heading to Rathrrum and then back via Glendalough to Vallymount and then finally stopping in Blessington were we can all go our seperate ways.

As per usual...I'm working so can't make it up. Wicklow and the surrounding area is a very beautiful part of the country. Hope ye have a great day for it

Just in the door and my bed looks soo tempting so just a quick reply to say today was an excellent meet with some awesome driving roads and scenery (especially that last windy road through the arched trees!). I think we meet a new face at every meet and today it was great to finally meet Hans and Michal, glad yous could make it (two very nice Volvos also)!

I've got plenty of on-the-road pictures here which I'm just loading onto the computer, won't get to sort through them until tomorrow night though so sit tight!

I also said hello to 150k miles on the 855 today so once I get home from the US next week I'll be applying for a High Mileage Club badge!

Roll on the next meet; a Christmas special perhaps?
