S60 2003 Interior Alarm Movement Sensors ?
Can anyone tell me how I can tell if I have the interior movement sensors fitted to my alarm.
I have the disable switch below the stereo but cannot see any additional sensors within the interior. Is it possible that they are integral with the auto dimming rear view mirror ? |

I've often wondered what that is for.

Thanks for the reply, I will take a peak at the beast in a little while to see if I have this panel...
Just checked and yes I do have this panel, does it mean I definitely have the sensor or do all vehicles have the panel but option not necessarily fitted ? Last edited by gramsey438; Dec 6th, 2013 at 19:01. |

You can pull the sensor from the panel and check its wired in. Alternatively, look at page 85 of the manual which tells you how to test it: http://esd.volvocars.com/site/owners..._EN_tp6726.pdf. The manual doesn't suggest it's anything other than standard fitment.

I have tried giving the panel a little tug from the sides and it does not appear to want to come off too easily. I think I am going to have to go down the testing route and annoy the neighbours for a short period....

....or drive it to the local out of town store and test it in their car park
