Volvo V70 Intermittent instrument cluster fault
Hi. Please help!
I have a '52 V70 with roughly 185k on the clock. My instrument cluster keeps turning off intermittently and my clock is whizzing faster than the speed of light. I've just had the AA man out and it didn't happen when he was with me!! I have AA breakdown repair but won't find out whether it's covered until tomorrow when they are open. The AA man didn't seem too hopeful that it would be. Anyone with a similar fault? I want to sell the car soon so I need to get this fixed before I do, and hopefully for as cheap as possible. Any help, insight or suggestions are very gratefully received! Will |

Common issue - it'll be a dry joint on one of the IC's on the back of the board - see http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=143579 for someone who'll fix it for a reasonable price.
