Down on one side
MOT Very soon and I've noticed the rear of the car is down on the right hand side. Does anyone know if this an MOT fail if it is just the spring being tired and not broken?

Someone else had this problem a few weeks ago turned out to be the top shock mount had broken up got to be worth checking.

Extremely unlikely to be just one spring that's "tired" IMHO, I'd get under there and give it a good check, they'll fail it on anything broken up there.

Can I see the top mount without dismantling anything Jim? Or will I give it a shake and see what happens.

I've just thought about this comment you made Jim, surely the shock/damper will have no effect on the ride height unless the damper is seized itself. It's the spring and the spring mounts that dictate the height of the car?

...OK, I will have a look and see if mine is worn. I was in that area a year ago replacing the damper and I couldn't see any signs of wear, but, hey ho, always open to advice!

Didn't get a chance to have a look due to torrential rain, but here is what the symptom looks like:-
