Default V70 2007 D5 SE 185BHP 6sp manual for sale

After a little over 9 years of trusty ownership, my V70 is going up for sale to make room for a new Volvo this June.

This was my original post a few years back - and yes, it still looks as good now! Only 37K miles, (all mine), everything works as it should with no expense spared and lots of tlc:

The small print:

2007 '07' V70 2.4 D5 SE diesel 185BHP, 6sp manual, FVSH, MOT Mar '17, TAX Sep '16.
I have a complete breakdown of all the services and when parts have been changed - mileage/dates.
1 owner from new, gen 37K miles! Blackcurrent Pearl, Oak & Arena leather interior. No pets, no kids, no smoking. Winter pack (heated F seats - driver's electric adjustment), rubber mats, mudflaps, load liner, roof spoiler, R park assist, 6 CD Multi & iPod integration. Beautiful condition, immaculate light coloured interior. Only ever gen parts, no expense spared.
Climate, Elec mirrors, Cruise, auto dimming RVM, auto wipers, HL washers, Fogs,
4 Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres, pristine 17" alloys & locking wheel nuts.
Fully Waxoyled, no corrosion. Cambelt, roller, tesioner & Aux belt service completed on time.
Looks & drives like new.

Hi
I've just seen your ad. Currently have a phase 1 V70 which I bought in 2010 with 50k miles and now on 140k. It just keeps on going but I'm wondering if a new cambelt etc and new discs is worthwhile on a 16.5 year old car. I'd be interested to know what you think its worth? A tidy one owner one in light green recently sold near me for circa £5000 with 65k miles. That was a manual too. dealers seem to be about £500-1000 more. Are we around this mark? If so, I'm interested

Hi David, with regards to your car I'd always say it's worth changing a cam belt and its associated parts, relatively cheap insurance when you consider the cost of an engine going bang. It's a DIY job, along with brakes, it'd keep it rolling a good few more miles.

With mine, I'd prefer it to go to a keen Volvo owner rather than a trader, it's been babied in all the time I've had it and has been thoroughly looked after. Such low mileage and great condition.

A Volvo Specialist who has known the car all its life has offered £7k, knowing he'd be able to move it along for more than that.

You should get that and more all day long Lozza.

I doubt if there is a finer one out there and then coupled with the spec, colour and mileage it is a true one off.

Sincere good luck with the sale however I don't think that you will need it.

That car will sell itself and is worth absolute top money.
