Unhappy Auto window function + other faults - Help

Hi just got a 1998 V40 T4 CD as my run around car (see sig for weekend car!!)

1. My auto up and down for the drivers window has stopped working - is there a reprogram thing to get it back or is it a fus or relay?

2. My cruise control doesn't do anything, again, fuse or relar or control module?

3. side running lights anyone got a cheap supplyer or got any spare i need the front driver side one.

4. Is there an easy way to find out if i have a cabin air filter? I have had the pannel in the passenger footwell out, and only see the round motor for the blower - is it somewhere else if i even have one?

Thanks in advance for any insights given.

I'll have a look for a marker light tomorrow - I've got at least one kicking around, but not sure which one.

As an FYI, nsf fits osr, and osf, fits nsr, so you only need two spares for any eventuality!!

I'll let you know tomorrow - will be once I am back from work, so evening

I've been told the answer to the cabin air /pollen filter one today.

See Baffler's second post in this thread, which gives you precise directions - and manoman48's - none in his 98 T4.

Witht the cruise control thing, There are 2 fuses that control it. Mine failed today as well, just turned itself off and stayed off :\ lol

1 controls the ignition switch and cruise control. This one is a biggy, 40A! It's in the engine bay fuse box; Number 11.

2 If it is a fuse (guessing your ignition is fine), it's more likely the one in the passenger compartment, which is Fuse number 5 (10A).

I dont know if the cruise control is a common prob on the volvos, i'm new to the volvo's myself, so not quite sure if there's any known issues with the cruise control, or even where most of it is, but i'm guessing the big fuse is fine, if any it'll be the little one

One of the other guys here will know more than me

Ok now we're getting there, - I'm nearly sure i don't have a pollen filter, but i can't understand why i get funny smells through the system - like damp dog!!

Also will check my cruise fuses tomorrow.

Thanks
