Default Tatty roof mouldings

Has anyone got a fix for tatty mouldings on an 850. The car looks great apart from the peeling coating on them.
Thanks
Chris

Default Not good news

Nothing can be done apart from replacement and the roof strips are exceedingly expensive for what they are; when I had it done even the bodyshop thought they were pricey.

Sorry about that but keep the new ones out of direct sunlight as much as possible and they will last longer.

Simon, I had a better look at those roof strips today. They seem to be a painted metal, aluminium or thin steel. I have read places that they may be rubber. I had been thinking of removing and painting them.
Thanks
Chris

mine have gone exactly the same

if you do replace them i've heard your better off using S/V70 ones as they have better water deflection off the windscreen so don't let as much water in if you've got your front windows open

Hi Dwain and all

Well i have the newer style roof strips for many a year now.

There are a few problems with them in that the wiper arm ofn the drivers side on fast mode will wack the strip.

Next if you use your jet wash water will creep around not much but it does

They are made of of aliminium for your info all i do is use a trim restore to keep the colour.

You could alway paint them to the colour of the car or black or grey to match the bumpers

oh yes and the price they were over 125 quid ages ago plus vat!

Hope that helps

Mark
