Default Non-Genuine Side Steps - feedback?

With a decent genuine used pair being rare, I've been considering the non-genuine route for side steps. I've got 3 kids so they're becoming a neccessity.

May I ask who has bought and fitted non-genuine steps and what is the feedback?

Pictures and info on suppliers would be very useful.

Thanks.

Hi

There was much discussion in an earlier thread - worth having a quick look for it.

General concensus is that genuine steps look the tidiest, but the high price puts them above what many sensioble folks want to pay for them, and, used ones can be pretty shabby.... and then cost ££ to powder coat or repaint.

I had an aftermarket set on my XC - find the earlier post for pictures. They were 100% stainless, well made, and easy to fit.... and although looked good, were a bit "heavy" visually over the standard ones.
