How to change radio.
changed my cassette for a cd player today, thought id take some pictures and do a how to!!!
you will need an iso lead with part number pc2-52-4 and a radio surround, you can make your own using the front panel from the radio casette or hunt the web to find one like i did!! disconnect the battery first.. step one remove the clock surround....... step two... remove thw two torx screws in the highlighted red circles step three...you may need to remove the glovebox just 4 screws, reach behind the radio and push the metal bracket downwards, on my radio the bracket was not screwed in just bent up behind a bracket fixed to the car.remove the wires from the radio and take out the radio. step four..... remove the top torx screw and the bottom turn pin from the passenger side panel and pull the panel away. step 5.....follow the leads form the amplifier upwards for around 8 inches untill you find the black and white plugs and pull them down gently step 6...... seperate the plugs, these have a little lever either side that needs to be prised outwards before pulling the plugs apart. you may find the you have to snip the wires and change part A and B over. once done you can discard the botton two plugs, i removed them from the amp and took them out of the car. step 7......feed the lead through the radio slot and plug in the black socket and the little white socket. then plug the remaining two into the back of the leads from the cd player, plugh in aerial and test the unit. once done and working its just a case of refitting everything and enjoy your tunes!!!
