Default Bluetooth music ?

Well, I'm back to normality after 6 years of Honda and VW ownership with a 2010 XC60.
I've paired my phone up for handsfree calls which works well, but can I play music through it? The "Mode" button doesn't have a bluetooth setting, so is there another way of playing music from my phone via bluetooth?

Have to say, I've missed my Volvos.

I don’t really know the first gen infotainments but it’s possible that after 2012 they added Bluetooth music, so if you press media again when you are in media and it shows you options like aux usb etc, and if there isn’t Bluetooth then I would assume not. On p1‘s like c30 s40 v50 c70, Bluetooth Audio came after late 2011. Best bet for your case, an apple car play/android auto from aliexpress or Bluetooth dongle via aux. if you are planning to keep the car longer, then I recommend the kits from aliexpress which cost about 250€ for good car play systems. They work quite well it seems, if not you can always buy a aux to Bluetooth adapter if your car doesn’t support Bluetooth media.

Try pressing the Mode button to CD or CD12 or whatever your car has then you should be able to play your music

With my 2011 S60, phone connected to the car and playing music through whatever app I press the 'Media' button for the music to play through the car speakers.
