Default Front protector for caravan

there seems to be a bit of interest in the front cover/potectors of late in the caravan press.i recently bought a cover for my pegasus verona.
there are a number of these on the market now, probably the most well known are from specialised covers and protec.both do various models for most vans.we decided on the made to measure for our van from sp/covers, its a bit dearer than the std model but it fits really snug with nothing flapping about,it fits in literally 3/4 minutes(2 people)just slide it in the awning rail each side then zip up on the offside elasticated panel, 6 stretch connectors under the front and one strap under the a frame and thats it.so far i have towed around 600 miles with no probs, the great thing is after going through wet mucky weather you get to the site take it off and find a nice clean front.
i have posted some pics in my gallery, from easter,as i have found a program detailing how to minimise them.
cheers
sandy

couple questions on the protect cover, do they rub on the front body or windows ?, do they have cut outs for your front marker lights ?, i may look into it a bit further as they seem a good idea, Stu

interesting point stu, never thought about it rubbing the windows, being acrylic they do tend to mark quite easily, i would assume the lighting situation would be ok though. but still worth looking into.

Default front cover update.

hi guys
exactly what i asked sp/covers when i enquired about it.the cover is multi layered, the inner is a very soft material, they do say in the instructions that you keep it off the ground at all times as grit could get on the inner, then you would get a poss problem.
tbh when swmbo an i fit it we open the carrybag lift it out and unfold it above the a frame,(its a one piece cover)then just slide it up each side in the awning rail then zip up the offside and its on,just fix the 6 stretch clips along the bottom to secure the lower edge.we got the made to measure model so as you see from the pics the lights are exactly where they should be.its a very good fit with no flapping around.
hope this helps
sandy
ps,have a look at my photo,s of it in my gallery

Maybe staing the bl**ding obvious, but the caravan's front needs to be clean. However soft the lining is, if there is dust/dirt on the windows any movement of the cover would chafe the windows.

i was reading the law says you must have working front marker lights if fitted, but there are hundreds of differing caravans, so a generic cover would be no good ??, as marker lights are not in the same place on every caravan, so does that mean you have to buy a "fitted" cover for every diff model out there ?, Stu
