Hi all , was just about to order a 4 peace wind deflector set for my 2009 v70 when I noticed in the ebay listing it stated " not suitable for cars with auto folding mirrors " anyone know why or what issues it will cause seems a bit odd tks

If you are talking about wind deflectors intended to be mounted on the doors, for the purpose of having a different kind of noise if you drive with the door windows somewhat open, then they are probably obstructing the movement when the mirrors are folded inwards.
The good thing is that you don't need these deflectors, since these cars have AC as a standard feature. |

My daughter bought “Heko” wind deflectors for her 2011 XC70 and I helped her to fit them. They don’t interfere in any way with the folding door mirrors.
They look good but they do create a wind noise which wasn’t there before, so, I don’t like them and if it were my car I would probably bin them.

If they do interfere, you can tell the car to not fold its mirrors, so either way, you're good to go.

This can be done on the car settings on the dash/radio - I've known some NOT to find this menu though, so your mileage may vary!
Menu - Car Settings - Side Mirror Settings - Fold mirror when locking

Hey quick question(s): Which deflectors are you getting? And why?

I was thinking about getting some, almost pulled the trigger. But, the more I looked and thought about it, I changed my mind. They do look good, on say, older bmws or audis 90’s / 2000’s, but on a classy car like an xc70 P3, as said above with aircon, I think they look a bit daft, and cheapen the car a bit. It is , after all a premium car, and doesn’t need any frills. I had some on my old Defender tho, and they were very good at letting me have the window open in the rain, without soaking my arm.
