Default Cupholder Centre Console Lights

Hiya

Fairly trivial I know, but I picked up a new to me S60 SE Lux Nav and was wondering if it's supposed to have LED illuminated cup holders?

Here's a pic of mine and it appears theres a small 1cm or so circular area around the top of the cup holder which is filled with a transparent ring indicating it should light up.

Cup Holder Photo

Thanks

Illuminated cup holders was a part of the winter illumination pack. It was a good chunk extra money for this over the winter pack so relatively rare to see. It also came with lights for the door pockets and an led for rear passengers from the centre light. Most of the parts and wiring tends to already be fitted, just needs the led part adding and activating on VIDA if I remember rightly. Volvosweden on YouTube has a video where he adds it on his XC70.

Aha! Thank you for clarifying. I thought I had the Winter Illumination Pack on my model as the spec/advert stated "Winter Pack" in the listing. Guess that must refer to something else then.

You mention the Winter Pack, any clue what the differences are between that and the Winter Illumination Pack?

Cheers

Winter pack got heated seats and heated windscreen. Possibly something else that I can’t remember, but they were the headline features. The winter illumination pack also got heated seats and heated windscreen, but also the illuminated cup holders and door pockets etc.

Fantastic! Thanks again! Very helpful and good to know

I'm still learning what I do and don't have and how it all works.

You’re welcome. It wasn’t widely advertised there were two different packs, took a while of searching to find the difference.

There is a lot of kit on these cars, Makes for a great place to be.

Call me weird but I have managed to cope without an illuminated cup holder!

Tell me about it! I have a full list of things the car is advertised to have, but the likes of "Winter Pack" which even a Google didn't help me to work out what was in it, means I've probably got a lot more discovering left to do before I work out everything I do and don't have!

You're weird

As I say, it was trivial and I never said I needed it or couldn't cope without it. Was more something I turned up when searching "Winter Pack" and finding people referring to this "feature" in relation to the Winter Lighting Pack it seems, and I just pondered whether I had it or not.

Indeed you did. I just couldn't resist the post! In fact your post is just so typically and hilariously British. Whilst suffering a worldwide pandemic a post about led lights for ones vehicles cupholder is just so sublimely funny. It somehow defines us as a Nation!
