Default 51 plate V40 2.0T for sale

Hey guys,

I know I am a new member, but thought I would offer this up here first, before trying other more generic avenues (I want to offer it to Volvo fans first). The boss wanted an MPV as she is only short and didn't like how low she sat in this.

I have here a 51 plate V40 2.0T with 126600 on the clock. As you can see from the pics, it is a tad unkempt.

Its SORN'd and the MOT has expired.

As far as I know, it only really needs a good service and new discs/pads on all 4 corners.

It comes with 4 ACE 5 spoke 17 inch wheels with Event tyres. I never got around to actually fitting the alloys, as they are missing a nut. So a new one (or new full set) would have to be sourced. As you can see from the pics, it has both 4 stud, and 5 stud fitment.

It could be a great project, spares source, or even a trackday warrior (if only, I had the time/money!).

So, onto the price.......... I am looking for £400 all in to get it shifted, and thus get the wife to stop on at me to sell it!

You can contact me on baldry.neil@gmail.com, or pm me for my phone number for a chat.

Thanks all,

Balderz

In reply to yusaf1's PM (which I cant currently reply to due to forum rules), I am not really keen on breaking the car, sorry.

Also, yes it is me from the UKMOC forum (Although I haven't been there for a long while, since I sold the Monster to help fund my wedding).

None of my business what you sell the package for, but given the price of this type of alloy, wouldn't you be better off selling the SORN'd V40 as one unit and the spare alloys and tyres as another? I would have thought the alloys without the tyres were worth at least couple hundred (possibly more) to the right person given their 4 or 5 stud fitting.

I must agree with the poster above, I did look at this car advert as it is near my sister and folks, but without an MOT it's just too much hassle.

However I personally wouldn't have wanted the extra alloys I think that you are better off selling the car and alloys separately and you are likely to get more money this way say you got £XXX for the extra alloy wheels you could then let the car go for less perhaps.

Also if you put the car through an MOT it would probably go quite quickly at that price, in fact the extra value would be able to cover the cost of the fee easily. Without an MOT it is a bit much for the risk in my opinion.

All the best with your sale.
