Infotainment screen

Hi,
My centre infotainment screen has stopped working. It's definitely the screen unit that's at fault. I found a 2nd hand replacement on ebay with the same part number 31382520 and have unplugged the old one and replaced with this one.
The screen does not work still.
Do I need to reset it with VIDA, of could a fuse have blown, or is it likely a faulty replacement screen?

They are burglar protected. There is a special code that needs to be reset on a used display unit, before it can be used in another car.

This is not correct, it seems if you obtain a replacement with matching numbers they are straight swap.

My V70 went blank screen, I removed the screen and resoldered the connections and it now works fine. Did your screen just go black?

The ribbon connector that connects the screen power came off. The connector de-soldered.
I tried to re-solder it and made it worse!!

Hopefully i have another screen on its way to me as the one i sourced was not working, the fibre module didn't work.
