Default 2008 C70 2.0D Catalytic Converter

Hello and thank you for accepting my request to join.
I have a mint 2008 C70 2.0D with 38,000 miles that imported to France last year. As it had very little use before I purchased it in the U.K. it failed the French emission requirements on its CT (MOT). I’d tried most things to clean it including a good hot run but to little avail although after a clean out by a local specialist it did eventually get through, however not before I noticed a rattling from the exhaust at high revs. I’m assuming that I have done some damage to the Cat, (don’t know if it’s fitted with a DPF?) and wondered if anyone could shed any light on this. If my Cat or DPF are damaged I’d like to get them replaced and would appreciate and helpful comments, thank you, Ian
